Summer Music Program &    Strings Program             

Join us for our weeklong group vacation and summer programs to keep the music momentum going. Students are immersed in:

  • music theory
  • composition/songwriting
  • recording
  • rock bands
  • playing new instruments

Students perform a concert together at the end of the week.

Who: Ages 6 and up. All instruments and skill levels welcome!

Where: The Conservatory, 51 Winchester Street, Newton 02461

Lunch: Students bring their own lunch and snacks. No nuts please!

A Typical Camp Day:

9:00AM: Drop off                                           9:15AM: Warm up                                       10:00AM: Music theory/ear training          11:00AM: Ensemble rehearsal                              (rock band/jazz/chamber)                          12:00PM: Lunch                                             1:15PM: Recording studio/songwriting/beat-making                                                           2:30PM: Ensemble rehearsal (rock band/jazz/chamber)                                                      4:00PM: Pick up

**STRINGS SUMMER Program**

When: August 20-24, 9AM-3PM
Friday Concert 2-3PM

Who: Strings students who have been playing for 1 year or more

What:  A day camp filled with singing, games, orchestra, history, theory, practice, guest artists, and performances!

Where: The Conservatory, 51 Winchester Street, Newton 02461

Lunch: Students bring his/her own lunch and snacks. No nuts please!

Instructor: Debbie Apple, Conservatory violin, viola, and cello teacher
